This update is all about the parts of the game you feel while playing it. The item economy stops losing your items, weight finally works, monsters behave sensibly, combat lands cleanly, and a long run of glitches and exploits are gone.
Items and Inventory
- Added a working item weight system. The server now calculates your carried weight from everything you hold and equip, the weight bar reflects it, and overweight now correctly blocks pickups and shop purchases. Stackable items count their full stack.
- Fixed items disappearing in several situations: left in a craft or upgrade window when you cancel and relog, lost when you disconnect mid-trade, and lost when you disconnect while holding an item on the cursor. Items now return to your bags.
- Fixed stack splitting corrupting your items when you carry more than 127 of them, and split stacks now land in the correct slot.
- Fixed a player-store (booth) bug that could corrupt your equipped weapon after selling an item and re-entering the game.
- Fixed E-Pack charges not applying for packs past the starting one, and fixed portal and teleport scrolls not working when used.
- Fixed stackable pickups showing the wrong quantity until relog, and fixed booth sales not persisting your money after logout.
- Closed several exploits where buying, picking up, or withdrawing a very large quantity could slip past the weight or money check.
Monsters and the World
- Boss monsters now respawn on their real timers instead of a few seconds.
- Reworked monster behavior: passive monsters stay passive, aggressive monsters aggro correctly, and monsters wander and leash back to their home area instead of drifting or stuttering in place.
- Fixed a monster sometimes showing the wrong model after a respawn.
- Fixed shop and manager NPCs not appearing in town.
- Added a weather system. Snow and Rain items trigger a world-wide weather effect for five minutes, announced on screen; players who arrive mid-event see the current weather, and the effect clears itself when the timer ends.
Text and Localization
- Fixed 139 garbled text strings in the game. Item names that showed as random symbols or were blank now read correctly (for example Scorpion Pendant, Sealed Ruby Jade, and Gemini Pendant), and broken apostrophes and ellipses in UI and tutorial text are fixed.
Combat
- Attacks and offensive skills no longer register twice. A single swing deals damage once and shows one damage number.
- The floating damage number and the target’s health bar now drop when your attack visually lands, instead of the instant you click.
- Ranged skills resolve when the projectile reaches the target. The monster stays alive during the bolt’s brief flight, so it can still act, and another player could even land the kill first.
- A multi-hit weapon combo (like the two-handed sword’s three-swing chain) stops after the monster dies instead of swinging at a corpse.
- Switching between a ranged and a melee weapon now updates your attack range to the new weapon.
- A monster hit only by a ranged skill now aggros and chases you, the same as it does for a normal attack.
Accounts and Launcher
- Added Remember Me and auto-login so the launcher can sign you back in without retyping your details.
- The launcher shows a live server status indicator on the login screen.
Fixes
- Fixed right-clicking a quest scroll hard-crashing the client.
- Fixed MP showing as -1 in the HUD and Character window after spending mana, and fixed level-up stats not updating until relog.
- Fixed double-clicking a message not opening it in the Mail and Post interfaces.
- Fixed the Windows error chime that played every time you opened or closed a window with an Alt shortcut.
- Fixed the fullscreen image stretching on widescreen monitors. The game now runs borderless at your native resolution.
- The client now retries graphics startup a few times if it briefly fails (for example on resume from sleep) instead of giving up with a generic error.
