What Is in Red Army

What Episode 2.1.5 added to RF Online - maps, units, Archon powers and guild rules - and what our server does with it today.

For RF Online: Red Army Updated 2026-07-27

The Version

Episode 2.1.5, released in 2007. Level cap 55, reached by finishing a quest line at 50 rather than by grinding straight through.

What it added over the previous episode:

  • Beast Mountain and Outcast Land, two late zones carrying level 55 items and pit bosses including Eternal Flame Draco and Tribal Leader Blood Axe.
  • Dark Hall, an endgame dungeon dropping level 50 relic and Leon weapons.
  • Race-exclusive units at the cap: Red MAU for Bellato, Red ISIS for Cora, Red Siege Kit for Accretia.
  • A far more powerful Archon: tax collection, deputy archons and a council, and the authority to call a nuclear strike.
  • Guild reform: the member ceiling cut from 150 to 50, honour badges, and tax distributed through the Archon.
  • Smarter monsters, with visible behaviour states, directional attacks and curse resistance that scales.

Port and Address

Red Army listens on 27790. Running it beside another RF version on one machine needs no changes; they already use different ports.

What Works

World entry, movement, chat, combat, drops and pickup, inventory and equipment, shops and banking, potions, quests, skills and force, party play, death and revival, and a second player being visible and correct throughout.

What Is Not There Yet

  • Trade between players. The design is settled and the work is not done.
  • The mine and the chip war, so the Archon powers above have nothing to preside over yet.
  • Guilds beyond the basics, and organised player-versus-player.
  • The level 55 ceiling. Our progression curve stops at 55, which matches this episode.
  • Economy tuning. Prices and drop rates are ours and will move.

Reporting Something

Quote the version, which is in the archive name and in the first lines of the server log. Red Army and Secret of Holystone are adjacent releases that look identical in a screenshot, so a report without a version usually cannot be acted on.
