This update adds a real login flow and makes the server something other people can run.
Login and Self-Hosting
- A native login launcher (osorflauncher) with a username and password box and a Change IP toggle. It signs you in: a new name registers itself, a known one is checked against your password, and it hands off to the giga4 client.
- You can run the server yourself. The download carries the server for Windows and Linux, the settings and game data, and the launcher. You bring your own giga4 client.
Speed and Position Checks
- Speed hacking is checked, and a client that reports an impossible position is snapped back to where it really is. Neither check disconnects you for now.
View Distance
- You only see other players within view range, and two players come into view of each other cleanly as they walk into range, matching the original client. A standing player no longer fades out of a nearby player’s view.
