A server you start yourself comes up with the real game content in place, where it used to start on placeholder data.
- The static game-data database (items, monsters, skills, stores) creates and fills itself on first startup, and leaves an already-populated database alone. A failed import stops the server instead of quietly falling back to placeholders.
- Setting up your own server creates the content database, grants access to it, and writes its connection into the config.
